In his keynote, “How Mathematics and STEM Drive One Another,” Eddie will explore how STEM disciplines, often separated by faculty divisions, can be united through the lens of mathematical thinking. Recognising that mathematics can sometimes feel isolated, Eddie will guide participants in broadening their understanding of its role and potential, showing how it underpins and enriches every STEM field.
With over 1.7 million subscribers and 150 million views on his popular YouTube channel, Eddie’s classroom lessons have made mathematics accessible and engaging for a global audience. Beyond the screen, he is a dedicated educator at Cherrybrook Technology High School and leads the NSW Department of Education’s Mathematics Growth Team, an initiative focused on elevating instructional practices across the state. Eddie also holds a position as Professor of Practice at the University of Sydney, where he contributes his expertise to preservice teacher education in the School of Education and Social Work.
