Build skills to incorporate Microbit and Makey Makey digital technologies into sustainable projects. Engage in hands-on activities, including arcade games with sustainable materials for primary staff and an automated herb garden for high school staff. Humanities staff will explore entrepreneurial learning for local water sustainability solutions. Projects will be showcased to the community.
STEM 2024 – Eye On The Future: Sustainable Technologies and Solar Car
Primary teachers will learn to design and prototype solar cars, enhancing their skills in renewable energy. New Year 7 Technology teachers will receive training for a Solar Powered Automated Herb Garden project, using Microbit controllers. Year 7 Engineered Systems teachers will create solar-powered cars for the Eye on The Future Challenge. These sessions will culminate in a collaborative event in Term 4.
